Just say no!

Posted by Angie under Blog tagged | 6 Comments

What a perfectly timely wishcasting from Jamie today!   She asks:  “What to you wish to say NO to?”

Ugh, I am FEELING this today.  There are a couple of items that have been hanging over my head like dark purple storm clouds and the amount of mental energy it’s taking me to avoid them is just not worth it.  So while I had intended on making today a free and clear art night,  I’ve decided instead to take on CLOSING THESE DOORS.  I will say no and back out as politely as possible so that I can move on into everything else I want to do with a free and clear heart.

Saying NO does not make me a bad person.

Let me say that again (because I need reminding):  SAYING NO does NOT make me a bad person.

There.  So, I’ve gotten the ball rolling on that and next I will tackle some of the items on my growing to do list so that I can cross them off with a big satisfying red XXXXX and clear my little storm clouds away to make room for more sun!!!

  1. As Angie wishes for herself, I wish for her as well. Saying no does not make you a bad person, it makes you a person who know what it is best for herself. In my book, that makes you a smart person!!

  2. As you wish, I wish for you as well.
Much wisdom in your words, m’ love.

  3. As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well.

  4. um, I’m worried, are you in a cult…what’s with all the wishing? J.K. It’s always nice to see your dreams/goals reflected from others. I just (put simplistically) know it as: nothing really matters, then: my life, my dreams. ha ha, ho ho, and hee hee. Also SpinCrafting. AH HA! So now I learn why you always give me shit for getting wrapped up in trying to help people. I’m learning to say no too, and to be a more selfish for what I want (without quitting being aware of others, if that makes sense). I still find this cosmically funny, in an amazing way, that you’re FINALLY(!!!) doing for your inner heart! It’s stupendous and keep it up!!!! (Also it’s funny that I finally have a family member who I think I can relate to on creating) Strange having conversations with your sis through the interwebs. Seriously someday we’re going to talk about all of this. I’m so curious about what brought this badassness about and your personal struggles with artisticness. P.S. I just spent the last 8 hours writing music cause my last band (which was my favorite band I’ve ever been in, and the one I was most involved in musically and actually plays music I LOVE) is getting back together, only awesomely different!!!! YAY! Which is why I think I ended up here ’cause, sis, you inspire me. Which is totally new from fambly. THANKS! (sorry to be personal on the public nets, but I love your blogs….) P.P.S. It’s cool I had a LiveJournal once upon a time…Besides you don’t have to publish any of this and I don’t know your email and it’s way too long winded for texts.

    LOVES!! Ya hippie ; )

  5. As Angie wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.

  6. Just in case you needed another voice to say it: saying NO does not make you a bad person.
As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.
